LG Optimus Note Appears In Photos With Its 1.2GHz Dual-Core CPU

You are in an Android Post

With Samsung recently announcing its outrageously huge Galaxy Note, LG should probably reconsider the name of the phone which is pictured above, called Optimus Note. It surfaced in a blurry picture as well as press render and, as you can see, it's a QWERTY slider.

What you can't see is that it appears to pack a 1.2GHz dual-core Tegra2 chip inside to power Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also features a four-inch NOVA display (LG's own technology for ultra-bright screens), five-megapixel camera, VGA front-facer, 8GB of internal storage and 12.3mm thickness to accommodate the four-row QWERTY keyboard. Not sure how closely the Optimus Note is related to Sprint's upcoming Optimus Slider, but we've heard the specs of the upcoming Sprint-phone will be more in the Optimus One range.

PHOTOS: Kleiner’s Ray Lane receives his Fisker Karma

Kleiner Perkins Partner Ray Lane received the world’s second production Fisker Karma, a luxury extended-range electric car. Rumor has it that actor Leonardo DiCaprio received the first. The $100,000 car was shown off outside of the Kleiner Perkins office on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, Calif. on Tuesday, where media folks watched the event. Kleiner Perkins is an investor in Fisker. Here’s our photos of the event:

PHOTOS: The wild world of art meets connected devices

The Museum of Modern Art in New York will open up an exhibit about the art of connected devices, called Talk to Me, on Sunday. It’s got around 200 pieces that are anywhere from thought-provoking, to weird, to beautiful, to hilarious. (I posted some of the more sustainable-oriented ones here).

Flip through the slide show below to see pieces like a choking cell phone, a sneezing radio, the Avatar Machine, anonymous peer-to-peer sharing USB ports injected into walls, and an expressions dispatcher to help aid your emotions in the age of reliance on digital screens.
