Microsoft and the carrier partners made three Windows Phone updates up until now: the pre-NoDo, NoDo and the 7392 security update. Unfortunately not everything went as smooth as imagined and we hope both Redmond and the operators have learned from the past experience. Delivering updates in a timely manner is key to maintaining customers happy. Vodafone Australia seems to have understood how the game is played as the carrier announced it already finished testing the Mango update for the HTC Trophy it carries. "Testing for Windows Phone ?Mango? firmware update has been completed and approved. Awaiting deployment from Microsoft" -- is what the official blog states.
With an official Mango announcement coming soon from Microsoft (as soon as tomorrow, according to some reports), wave-one Windows Phones will (should) start receiving updates as soon as possible. We hope other carriers in Europe and America have been working hard and are just waiting for a green light to push out Mango to Windows Phones in their line-up.
