Radio Shack Leak Offers New Launch Dates: Vigor, Illusion, Strato

Earlier today, we heard a rumor that the HTC Vigor might end up arriving on October 13 as the Droid Incredible HD. The source behind that info was a little sketchy, though, so we've been looking for some way to confirm the information provided. Some new data has now arrived, but it sadly doesn't help to clarify the situation very much.

A leaked launch checklist for Radio Shack stores shows the phone, as the HTC Vigor, set to kick-off its direct-fill sales on October 20. It wouldn't be that surprising to see a slight delay between the carrier's and a retailer's launch, but when you combine that with the use of "Vigor" here instead of "Incredible HD", it just creates more questions. Again, on its own it's not that odd to see confusion over device names, but we're walking into this one with our guard already up.

Joining the Vigor on the list, Samsung's Illusion is marked as arriving on October 20 as well, and the Samsung Stratosphere is tipped for earlier in the month on October 6. No pricing information for any of these handsets was included with the leaked dates.

Sat Rad Player Streams Satellite Radio in the Background

The new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango compatible apps are just pouring in today. This time we've got the Sat Rad Player version 3. This is an app that lets you log in with your Sirius or XM Satellite radio subscription account and stream audio from any of the channels available to you. The freshly updated Mango version brings some excellent new features including the ability to listen over Bluetooth as well as the ability to listen uninterupted while accessing other applications. That's right, it takes advantage of Mango's ability to stream music in the background!

The app costs $0.99 in the Windows Phone Marketplace, but the free trial is also fully functional with the only difference being that you'll see some advertisements in the app. If you're running a Mango build of Windows Phone 7.5, fire up your Windows Phone Marketplace and search for "Sat Rad Player" now to try it out.

Radio Shack Exposes LG Marquee; Is It Sprint's LG Black?

Back in August we learned that Radio Shack would be offering a special white version of HTC's EVO 3D sometime this month. The company recently took to YouTube to show the phone off, with footage coming from this year's Radio Shack Business Summit in Texas. While there's not much new worth talking about when it comes to the EVO 3D except its lily-white veneer, you might notice that one of the video's establishing shots of the expo reveals a phone we haven't heard of before: the LG Marquee.

All we get of the phone is this one brief shot, showing carrier badging for Sprint. The popular theory going around right now is that the Marquee could be Sprint's version of the LG Optimus Black. Sure, it looks enough like the Black as it's been released, and the front-facing camera is in the right spot, but it's still just mostly guesswork at this point. Any other theories about what this one might be?
