WhatsApp Finally Hitting Windows Phone Marketplace Within 24H

You are in a Windows Phone Post

It's been quite a journey for the long anticipated WhatsApp Windows Phone client, from the early day rumors, leaks and hints (a tweet about mangos, a job posting and more recently, a teaser image) to a private beta in the Marketplace more recently.

Being contacted for a spot on the private beta team, the WhatsApp developers have issued the following response: "Thanks for your message and interest. We should be releasing a public version to the Marketplace within the next 24 hours, so I don?t think there is much point in sending you a link to the closed beta group". That being said, check often with your Marketplace over the weekend if you are (long) waiting for the WhatsApp client.

Another Hint Of WhatsApp Coming To Windows Phone

There wasn't very much information to point towards a Windows Phone client for WhatsApp but there were two bits that kept our hopes up: a tweet about mangos and a job posting. Here's the third one and hopefully there will be an announcement soon!

The image above is hosted on the WhatsApp server and, as you can clearly see, there's a Windows Phone logo standing between iOS and Android, alongside Symbian and BBOS. This teaser image should be a confirmation of things to come and hopefully we don't have to wait long after Mango is out for WhatsApp to hit the Redmond platform and close up the loop.
