Motorola Edison Drops PenTile Pixels and LTE, Gets Shutter Button

You are in an Android Post

There's been a lot of buzz lately around the Motorola Edison -- often referred to as the Atrix 2 -- for AT&T. It was initially tipped by webtop code and then passed FCC without LTE mention just to smile for the camera more recently bragging its specs.

Thanks to an early hands-on we now know that the Edison dropped the PenTile display on its qHD screen to display text that is more crisp but unfortunately there comes confirmation of dropped LTE support too. The Edison will max out at HSPA+ on the network but those who take a lot of pictures will be glad to find out there's a camera button dedicated on the phone. The 1GHz Texas Instruments OMAP processor is fast but not among the top CPUs; it scored 2,201 in Quadrant which is pretty much the lower end of the top list.
