Samsung Galaxy S III Rumored With 2.0GHz Quad-Core CPU

You are in an Android Post

It's been a while since we heard of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the phone that comes after the exceptional Galaxy S II introduced this year at MWC in Barcelona. Rumor has it the S III will be introduced in Barcelona too, next February.

Now brace yourselves: even though it's a rumor, it speaks of a 2.0GHz quad-core CPU. Not sure where to put that as Android isn't even fully optimized for dual-core processors, but hey, raw horsepower is always welcome! There's also 1.5GB of RAM to feed that super high-end processor, 32GB of internal memory and a 4.65-inch screen. The rumor expressly names it "Super AMOLED III" which is reportedly being developed especially for the Galaxy S III, with SXGA 1280 x 1024 resolution (which is so much unlike 16:9 giving a square aspect ratio of 1.25 -- see below table, red outline).

Rumor also mentions a ten-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video recording, NFC chip inside and Android Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz 5.0 on top of it. Powering all, there's 2250mAh battery.

If anyone feels these rumored specs are "too good to be true", please raise your hand! What do you find fishy among the above?
