The Glide's hardware is up there at a comparable level to the GS2's, including a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and eight-megapixel camera (1.2MP front-facer). The screen is a smidge smaller on the Glide, measuring-in at only 4 inches, and we're told it will be a Super AMOLED display. We would have expected it to use Super AMOLED Plus technology, as the GS2, but the source's failure to mention "plus" may have just been an oversight.
Of course, to have a hardware keyboard, the Glide doesn't end up looking as slender as the GS2. That trade-off's hardly exclusive to this device line, though, and it's nice for users to at least have the option open. Look for the Galaxy S Glide to find a home at Rogers near the end of 2011.
