The Qualcomm chip that will be at the heart of T-Mobile's Galaxy S II is the APQ8060, the same dual-core chip behind HP's TouchPad (and one specifically guessed-at to fill this role), but clocked up to 1.5GHz. Like the announced LTE version of the GS2, this model will run at a higher clock frequency than the 1.2GHz GS2s the other US carriers will have.
A more official confirmation of this hardware would be nice, but this information is very specific, and it doesn't appear (yet) that the company's Twitter mouthpiece is confusing the phone with another model.
Anyone a little more excited about T-Mobile's GS2 upon hearing this news?
