Leaked HTC Vigor Media Files Help Confirm Specs, Clear-Up Rumors

You are in an Android Post

Our understanding of the HTC Vigor had been shaping-up nicely as of last week; rumors, information gleamed from its FCC paperwork, and the press shots we uncovered were starting to paint a complete picture of the handset. Then we were introduced to a purportedly leaked Verizon screenshot, indicating that the phone would become the Droid Incredible HD, instead, and cast doubt on the phone's supposedly-720p display. Today a host of media files for the Vigor has been distributed online, and there are a few tidbits inside that may help clear up this confusion.

For one, there's the inclusion of wallpaper images at 1440 x 1280, or exactly two 720p screens - not something we'd expect added to a phone with only a WVGA display. That gives us some peace of mind, since we're really excited about all the 720p displays that are about to hit the smartphone market. The phone's LTE capabilities were essentially a lock, having been confirmed in FCC documentation, but a boot logo here also confirms the feature, along with the Beats audio partnership.

Furthermore, the boot animations don't reinforce the idea that the Vigor could arrive as the Droid Incredible HD, without the appearance of an iconic Droid "red eye".
