This SE model would supposedly make the leap from a dual-core 1.2GHz SoC to a 1.5GHz setup. The Qualcomm MSM8260 it will use is already present in the current Sensation, so it's not a big change.
The SE claims to have 4GB of internal storage, but is that really an upgrade? The Sensation has 4GB of flash, but only 1GB is usable. If we're talking about 4GB of free space, then that's a nice change, but we have the feeling this might be the same situation as before.
The battery will see an upgrade of its own, presumably to fuel the faster processor, stepping up to 1,730mAh.
The Beats connection includes what's referred to as an "in-ear headset". Nice try Beats, but earbuds are earbuds, no matter how nice they are; if you want to call it a headset, you'll have to connect those buds together. These earbuds will have an inline remote for quickly controlling media playback.
For this package, expect to pay what comes out to around $850.
